Aramex provided full logistical support to Dubai Cares’ Million Book Challenge, an empowering literacy project to provide children around the world access to books.

The Million Book Challenge asked students aged 3 through 14 to collectively read 1 million books in two weeks; the students surpassed this goal and read 1,323,218 books. For each book read, Dubai Cares is purchasing a new book and will donate it to children around the world who currently do not have access to books.

As a partner, Aramex handled all of the campaign’s logistical needs to over 150 government and private schools in the UAE.

Aramex has always been a fervent supporter of youth development and education, and continually offers its services to organizations that create opportunities for the next generation. “Dubai Cares welcomed Aramex’s support during this year’s campaign which signifies our ongoing commitment to helping educate children in need,” says Her Excellency Reem Al-Hashimy, Chairperson of Dubai Cares Board of Directors.

“Aramex has been strategically involved in a number of development projects across various communities; however we believe that education is one of the most important investments a society can make,” says Hussein Hachem CEO, Aramex, GCC. “Therefore, we were delighted to offer our logistics services to the Dubai Cares’ Million Book Challenge, a truly significant project which is improving children’s lives through education,” concluded Hachem.
