Syrian President, Bashar al Assad, said on Sunday that plots to create discord between Iran and Syria have failed, expressing support to Tehran's right for peaceful use of nuclear energy.
Speaking during a meeting with visiting Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Council of Iran, Parliament, Ghoulam Ali Haddad, Assad rediculed the attempts aimed at depriving Iran of the right to possess nuclear power while Israel continued its atomic armament.
On the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri,a Syrian source quoted Assad as saying that there were no evidence of Syria's involvement in the operation. "Seven months after the assassination of Hariri, there is no evidence of Syria's involvement, therefore the plot failed to reach its objectives", the source was quoted by Kuna.
