Axis communications, the global leader in network video solutions is bringing the latest in its cost-efficient and future-proof solutions for security and remote monitoring applications to Intersec 2007. Visitors to Intersec (21 – 23 January 2007), at the Dubai Convention and Exhibition Centre, can experience for themselves Axis IP-Surveillance innovations which will be showcased on their stand 527C. Connecting directly to the network, Axis IP-Surveillance products can distribute high-quality video over any IP network, whether local or the Internet, wired or wireless.
“Intersec provides us with the ideal forum to showcase our leading network surveillance systems and interact with different businesses small or large, looking for proven solutions that meet their specific security needs now and in the future,” said Gilles Ortega, Country Manager, MENA, Axis Communications. “The advances we are making in network cameras will further drive the shift from analog solutions toward IP-Surveillance.”
Axis IP-Surveillance solutions go a step further as they enable organizations across different vertical industries to integrate their existing analog systems into an IP-based solution. By using standard IP-networks such as LANs or the Internet for transporting information, rather than dedicated point-to-point cabling such as those used in analog video systems, companies will enjoy a number of revolutionary benefits. These include remote accessibility to digital images/footage, scalability and flexibility, cost effectiveness and distributed intelligence ultimately delivering state-of-the-art surveillance and security systems.
The newly launched Axis 223M camera will be one of Axis’ key network video innovations taking center-stage on their stand at the show. The Axis 223M is a high performance, 2 megapixel camera designed to provide exceptional image detail in demanding day and night surveillance applications. Offering the highest level of network security, the AXIS 223M is ideal for security demanding areas such as bank offices and airports. The full 1600x1200 resolution provided by the AXIS 223M Network Camera gives more than 4 times the number of pixels compared to a high-resolution analog camera.
Also the world’s first network camera designed specifically for use in buses and rail vehicles will be on display on the Axis stand. The AXIS 209FD-R Network Camera is a palm-sized, rugged unit that can resist vibrations and high humidity in mass transit vehicles. The network camera provides crisp, digital video over an IP network.
“There is strong demand from bus and train operators for a cost-effective surveillance solution that helps secure drivers and commuters, and enables evidence to be clearly captured in an event,” added Ortega. “The AXIS 209FD-R is the first IP-Surveillance camera solution on the market that takes into account the environment and surveillance requirements onboard transit vehicles. The camera also enables operators to set up a system that allows police and alarm central to remotely see what is happening in a vehicle should any incident take place.”
Axis offers complete solutions for any business’ network video needs, from network cameras and video servers, to video management software and accessories. Axis solutions can be used remotely and cost-effectively to monitor places, people or manufacturing processes; secure sites with the help of alarm information and video motion detection.
