Newly formed Dubai agency, Babel Event and Model Management, is inviting aspiring models, actors, hostesses and entertainers to attend their open day from 2pm until 9pm at Wafi Mall on Saturday June 19, 2010.
Beauty, hair and photography professionals will be dishing out tips and advice to members of the public and performing mini-makeovers throughout the day. Model bookers from the Babel team will provide information to anyone interested in pursuing a career or part time work in the industry and will sign up lucky participants.
Professional beauticians from Cleopatra's Spa and make-up artists from Make Up Forever will represent the mall while Photo Solutions Middle East will demonstrate model photography onsite using their mobile studio. Babel's bookers, will provide insight into how models should look, pose and present themselves to clients in order to maximise their potential.
Wafi will also be giving away 150 beauty goodie bags, including gift vouchers for Desert Rose and Jashanmal. There will also be coupons for fresh coffee from The Square and Bellucci Cafe and free makeup provided by Make Up Forever.
Alison Hood, Babel event manager and model booker, says: "Ladies and gentlemen from all nationalities and cultures should come dressed to impress for this day of fun, where they can speak to and get tips from top professionals from the beauty and model industry. They will even get advice on how to strike the right pose for pictures and we'll be considering anyone for roles ranging from cast, editorial and catwalk models, hostesses and promoters through to professional singers and dancers.
"Wafi is one of Dubai's true high fashion destinations and, with Dubai Summer Surprises in full flow, we intend to attract the glamorous and young, trendy and fashion-conscious individuals to our agency. It's important to give fresh talent a chance, as our clients are always looking for new faces and unique looks, so we will reach out to those who may not have considered this as a career option."
Aser Al Baseer, Wafi's PR and communications manager explains how this open day will appeal to the Wafi shopper. Babel's registration and makeover area will take place outside Al Tayer Perfume stores on the first floor of the shopping mall from 2pm until 9pm on Saturday June 19, 2010 for one day only.
