Two bombs went off in quick succession in a busy central Baghdad street on Monday, killing at least six people and injuring about 20, Iraqi police said. According to Reuters, they said 10 policemen were among the wounded.
Also in Baghdad, Iraq's Deputy Oil Minister Saheb Salman Qutub was hurt in a bomb attack outside his house on Monday, security officials said. The bomb exploded as Qutub was preparing to leave his home in the northern Ataifiyah neighbourhood of the Iraqi capital, they told AFP.
