Bahrain gets new creative muscle as BPG Group partners with Metaphor

In a show of confidence in Bahrain’s marketing communications sector, BPG Group has joined hands with Bahrain-based marketing services house, Metaphor.
BPG’s Group CEO, Avi Bhojani confirmed that Metaphor is appointed as the BPG Group Affiliate in the Kingdom. This move takes BPG’s regional presence into 10 locations.
He hailed the BPG-Metaphor affiliation as a ‘perfect fit’: “This is a highly complementary scenario. Metaphor will get access to BPG Group - which services businesses across different sectors in the GCC, and BPG will leverage on capabilities and brand equity created by Metaphor in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
Metaphor, founded in 2006, has been engaged by some of the Kingdom’s prominent companies, including recent projects for the Bahrain Economic Development Board, Bahrain Association of Banks, Gulf Business Machines, Arab Financial Services, Royal Sun Alliance, Bahrain Stock Exchange, @Bahrain, and MDCI International.
Premal Patel, Chairman, Metaphor Communications observed that Bahrain’s economy is faring well:  “Of course Bahrain has felt the impact of the global downturn. However, it has held firm and is not as bruised as some of our regional neighbours.”
He said that the good news is that Bahrain’s services industry, of which Advertising forms an integral part, has seen a nominal decline of -3.47 per cent in 2009.

“With Bahrain in an energetic mode, our association with BPG enables us to play in a larger field and inject globally-recognised integrated communications services into the Kingdom.
“Indeed, we are well positioned to play a role in driving economic growth with sensitive, relevant marketing solutions that have the benefit of world-class insight, local appreciation and economies of scale,” said Patel.
Bhojani confirmed that the BPG-Metaphor affiliation kicks off immediately.
“The PAN Arab advertising market has seen total advertising spend in the region increase by almost nine per cent in the past month alone, making this is a perfect time for BPG to have a mature presence in the Kingdom.
 “The BPG-Metaphor affiliation is an initiative that we believe will offer Bahrain access to a quality, solutions-focused, integrated communications service,” Bhojani concluded.
