Bahraini Handball Teams Seek to Improve Rickety Records

Both the Toblah and Al-Deir teams are hoping tonight will be the night they improve on the road their rickety ranks in the Al-Ittihad & Banoko First League Handball League.

Akhbar Al-Khaleej daily reports that in the first match, to be held at the Youth Center in Al-Jafir, Al-Deir will face Toblah club and afterward Al-Helal club will meet Al-Naeem.

Each team in the first game will be playing to dodge demotion to the lower league. Toblah, under the guidance of their new Iraqi coach, is looking for their first victory of the season. Al-Naeem -- who has been playing great handball recently, even beating the league champs, Al-Ahli -- will try to defeat Al-Helal club to maintain its leading position. This task has been made all the more difficult now that all of the previously suspended players from Al-Helal will be playing tonight.

The ranking of these four clubs is as follows: Al-Helal 15 points, Al-Naeem 13 points, Al-Deir 6 points and Toblah 5 points.
