Banque Libano-Française (BLF) announced the opening of its representative office in Abu Dhabi after being granted a license from the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates to commence its business.
On this occasion, Banque Libano-Française hosted a reception at the Beach Rotana Hotel, Abu Dhabi, on February 15th 2010, in the presence of the Bank's CEO, Mr. Farid Raphaël, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, His Excellency Sultan Al Suwaidi, Governor of the Central Bank of UAE, represented by Mr. Saleh Allaou, Head of the Banking Supervision and Examination Department (BSED), Central Bank of UAE, the Chairman of the Arab Monetary Fund, Dr. Jassim Al Mannai, the Consul General of the Lebanese Republic to the UAE, Mrs. Farah Al-Khatib Al-Hariri, the Chairman of the Lebanese Business Council, Mr. Albert Matta along with BLF high ranking-officials and several businessmen.
"The opening of Banque Libano-Française representative office in the capital city of the UAE is part of the expansion plan adopted by our bank a few years ago, at both regional and international levels. This move illustrates our long and exacting task to promote our unique position among the Lebanese and Arab banking community; it also shows our determination to be as close as possible to our customers in order to provide the best services and products, and build a strong partnership with them", stated Mr. Farid Raphael.
The opening of the representative office closely follows the establishment of BLF's subsidiary, Bank Al-Sharq, in the Syrian market. Due to its expansion policy at the local, regional and international levels, Banque Libano-Française intends to remain constantly close to its customers' base.
