Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak on Wednesday ordered the lifting of a blockade around cities in the Palestinian territories, his office said.
Barak has also decided to reopen the Rafah crossing point between the Gaza Strip and Egypt; Allenby Bridge, which links the West Bank with Jordan, and the Gaza international airport near Rafah, it said.
The measures follow meetings between Israeli army officials and Palestinian security chiefs in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, the statement added – JERUSALEM (AFP)
