Medicares Director General Andrew Hanna and Lebanon's Tourist Minister Karam Karam, announced the grant in a meeting earlier Tuesday with Lebanese President Emile Lahoud, the agency said.

Hanna said a plane was sent to deliver 30 tons of medical aid, worth 14 million dollars, "offered to the Lebanese people across all Lebanese regions," the agency reported.
