Moroccan Prime Minister, Abderrahmane Youssoufi, who returned home Friday night following a three-day working visit to Belgium said he extended to King Albert III of Belgium an invitation from King Mohammed VI to visit Morocco.
Youssoufi, who was accompanied by a government delegation, said the Belgian monarch stated his visit to Morocco would contribute to further consolidate Moroccan-Belgian relations, according to Maghreb Arabe Presse.
On his visit, which he termed as "successful and useful", the head of the Moroccan government, who signed a package of cooperation agreements in various fields said it "defined the framework of future cooperation" and would be instrumental in upgrading cooperation between the two countries, mainly with regards to water supplies to Moroccan rural areas, vocational training, health services and supporting Morocco's efforts in promoting women's rights.
He also said his talks with EU officials dealt with the implementation of the Morocco-EU association agreement and the immigration issue, in wake of decisions made by the recent European summit in Seville. (Albawaba.com)
