WASHINGTON

Former US President Bill Clinton, 78, was hospitalized Monday with a fever, said his deputy chief of staff.

"President Clinton was admitted to Georgetown University Medical Center this afternoon for testing and observation after developing a fever," Angel Urena said on X.

"He remains in good spirits and deeply appreciates the excellent care he is receiving," Urena added.

The Democrat served two terms as president from January 1993 until January 2001.
