This February, children’s favourite ‘Paddington Bear™’ will join British Airways – the UK’s flagship carrier – on all its regional services to and from the Middle East.

In celebration of the world’s favourite bear’s 50th anniversary, the ‘world’s favourite airline’ is launching its new in-flight, Skyflyers’ pack for children.

The activity bag, which has been designed to look like Paddington’s famous and well-travelled suitcase, will be available for children between the ages of three and five on British Airways’ daily services between Kuwait and London Heathrow.

As an extra treat, the in-flight entertainment system will also be showing Paddington Bear™ programmes and children will be able to print off colouring sheets and luggage labels from www.ba.com before they travel.

In the absence of any marmalade sandwiches, the pack itself contains an activity book, stickers and crayons to keep children entertained.

Members of the British Airways Kids’ Council – a selection of children who advise the carrier on all things to do with their age group - have helped design a neoprene pencil case for children between the ages of six and twelve.

The Paddington pack – which can be re-used as a practical bag for school or play - also contains a magazine filled with features, puzzles and interesting facts from around the world, and comes with a multi-colour pen and a pack of playing cards. On the return flight, older children will also be offered a stylish frosted plastic case, which like the outbound gift can be re-used as a washbag or pencil case for school.

Notes to Editors:
1. Over 1.6 million children and more than 300,000 babies travelled with their families across British Airways’ network last year. Nearly 600,000 travelled during the summer holidays alone.
2. British Airways’ most popular family destinations include: Miami, Tampa, Dubai, Orlando, Los Angeles, Barbados, San Francisco
3. ‘Skyflyers’ is a service dedicated to family travel offering a range of benefits both on the ground and in the air. ‘Skyflyers’ benefit from family friendly meal options and early check-in at London’s Gatwick Airport, allowing check-in from 16:00 / 4pm the day before departure for flights departing up to 15:15 / 3:15pm the following day.
4. Families can also request seats and children’s meals from the comfort of their own living room using the ‘Manage My Booking’ facility on the airline’s website.
