BurJuman's ChocoLatte Celebrates the Romance of Chocolate & Coffee

BurJuman, the residence of high fashion, will celebrate for the first time the romance of chocolate and coffee by hosting the fabulous ‘ChocoLatte’ event from April 19-29, 2007.

Visitors are invited to indulge and pamper their senses during the 11-day ChocoLatte event which promises to be a heady affair.

Spread across the plush mall, a host of chocolate and coffee related activities will run at various times all through the day, each promising to pander to the refined taste of chocolate and coffee lovers.


Coffee Village
The Coffee Village offers a delightful mix of beans and blends from around the world. Visitors can sample different brews from various participating outlets including Hediard, Star bucks, Gloria Jeans, Dome Café, and Barista, who will also be offering special promotions and discounts.

Coffee connoisseurs can check out a display of the world’s best brews or whet their knowledge by attending special talks by coffee experts from Starbucks.


Live Chocolate Sculpting by Master chocolatier – Prudence Emma Staite
During the ChocoLatte event, shoppers can sample a variety of delightful chocolates and also witness for the first time the world's renowned chocolate artist, Prudence Emma Staite, sculpting a replica of the Burj Al Arab in chocolate. Over the years, Staite has crafted chocolate sculptures and created a wide range of exciting and bespoke edible artworks.

There will also be a display of a host of chocolate sculptures including chess boards, coffee pots, vases, chocolate games, edible and wearable chocolate jewellery, horses, camels, falcons and Arabian coffee sets. Prudence will further amaze  chocolate aficionados  by sculpting miniature versions of the Wonders of the world including the Eiffel Tower, Sydney Opera House and the Taj Mahal; not missing the chocolate sculptures of famous personalities such as Prince Charles, Lady Diana, and Elvis Presley .

Prudence possesses a Fine Art degree from Winchester School of Art, and has been awarded the Prince's Trust Business Award for fusing art, food and theatre together. Staite’s work has been admired and nibbled by celebrities such as Tony and Cherie Blair, Alex Best, Linford Christie, Dawn French, and Jennifer Saunders

Family entertainment: ChocoFun , ChocoFashion, ChocoArt, ChocoStudio
Families can enjoy entertainment by chocolate living statues, choco magicians and choco jugglers as well as discover what Choco Fashion is all about. Special display of fashion attire embellished with chocolates and beans and chocolate accessories will leave all fashionistas with a taste for more.
Kids have a choice of two free workshops and can choose to paint and work with chocolate or coffee themes. During weekends the ChocoJam provides budding artists the chance to paint at a special art studio set up in the mall.
Shoppers who want to be in the spotlight can have their complimentary photographs taken at the unique chocolate studio.
