Capital Club, Bahrain’s premier private business club hosted the first exclusive dinner theatre last night, Monday the 4th of October 2010. The Amaretti Angels, a heartwarming British comedy written by Sarah Phelps took place at the Club’s Anan Dining Room entertaining Members and guests with a truly memorable dining experience. Originally commissioned by Alan Ayckbourn for his theatre restaurant and then transferred to London, the comedy has been described as ‘a perfectly formed gem of miniaturised theatre’. The British Actors’ Group is a professional company which travels light, focusing on performance rather than production. The actors, Jane Arden, Julien Ball, Leila Raoufi and director Caroline Devlin have worked for the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, in the West End (London) and on television. Kanoo Travel worked as the tour operator for this event and provided accommodation for these prestigious actors. Members and guests enjoyed a 3 course Italian dinner, while being a part of an exclusive show engaging them in a humorous and emotional tango of discovery and regret, where secrets were revealed and confessions were made leaving the audience in admiration. As Bahrain’s premier private business club, the Capital Club offers a place to relax, celebrate or network in exclusive surroundings, on the uppermost floors of the iconic Bahrain Financial Harbour. It regularly hosts social and business gatherings to facilitate networking among Members and to foster an environment of learning from some of the region’s most respected leaders. Membership offers international privileges through affiliation with more than 250 private clubs worldwide.
