1. De-clutter and have a general cleaning of your house or space before January 25, the eve of the Chinese New Year.
2. Wear something red for more luck. Green and purple are the lucky colors of the year, wearing any of these will be good as well.
3. Put 12 round fruits and a pineapple at the center for prosperity all year round.
4. Have as much food on the table for the Chinese New Year’s Eve. Fish, shrimps, noodles and sticky rice like Biko or Sapin-Sapin will be good as well if Tikoy is hard to find.
5. Surround your place with lots of gold and sweets to signify wealth all around you.
6. Make sure you get yourself a new wallet for the year to change your money luck. A Feng Shui wallet will be the best one to have to assure you of good flow of money coming in all year round.
7. For those who are in business or who are in the field of sales, have an abacus with you for more sales luck.
8. Create your wealth vase if you could for your future wealth. This is most auspicious for those who wish to start a business or to expand an existing one.
