Dubai Summer Surprise's Jumeirah Giant Charity Cake Sale at Mercato, organized by Jumeirah Group in support of Dubai Autism Center, scored big on Friday as people flocked from all over Dubai to participate in the delicious event.
Starting from 3:00 in the afternoon, hundreds of shoppers rushed to buy exquisite collection of 2255 mouthwatering cakes prepared by more than 60 executive pastry chefs from Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts. This number of cakes represents the total number of rooms provided by Jumeirah Group's Dubai Hotels & Resorts.
The event was supposed to linger till 10:00 pm, but the overwhelming response of people to participate in this charitable event had the cakes disappear very rapidly from the shelves of the giant cake, leaving the organizers extremely satisfied with the outcome both financially and popularity wise.
