Children had the opportunity two days ago to learn through interactive media - television and a public forum - about Prince Abdul-Qader, one of the leaders in the struggle against French occupation.

The Algerian Al-Yawm daily reports that the program, which aired on Egyptian Space Television, was called "Our Grandfathers & Grandsons," and was designed an educational show for children.

The program emphasized the contribution of Prince Abdul-Qader, an Algerian, who was known as "Our Grandfather" and an Egyptian hero.

Children who participated in the program were able to ask questions and the show's host would answer the questions, sometimes with the support of video clips. Prince Abdul-Qader was one of the major Algerian resistant figures to the occupation. This program is available through the digital transmission, Nile Sat 7 West.
