Chinese deputy foreign minister Lee Bi Ding is to arrive Thursday in Cairo heading a delegation from the foreign ministry on a one-day visit in his tour in some of the African countries, reported ArabicNews.com Sunday.
A diplomatic source was quoted as saying that the Chinese delegation's visit to Cairo and their discussions with high ranking officials come in the course of consultation about the subjects and organizational aspects concerning the China - Africa forum which China urged on holding in Peking in October.
The source said that China addressed the invitation to the foreign ministers and ministers of economy of the African countries with which it has diplomatic relations asking for participation in this forum.
The agency said that the forum is scheduled to lay down the basis for future Chinese - African cooperation in the new century in different political and economic areas in light of the changes related to globalization and openness policy which China currently witnesses - Albawaba.com
