Citibank's Jordanian operation has reported a fall in profit from $3.5 million in 1999 to $2.8 million.
Although, the bank’s sheets showed an increase in its deposits for the last year by 25 percent to $153.9 million, its net profit dropped by $700.000, giving no explanation for the unexpected profit decline.
