Former U.S. president Bill Clinton is due to speak during the Science Technology and Arts Summit Gala Dinner in Dubai on Thursday. This was announced Wednesday by organizers, who also confirmed the attendance of Jordan’s Queen Rania, according to Gulf News.
The summit, a significant charity event, was originally scheduled for October 2001, to coincide with the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (Gitex).
However, it was delayed due to the events that followed the September 11 attacks in the United States.
According to the organizers, the White House has authorized Clinton’s visit. The former President’s visit emphasizes America's confidence in the UAE leadership's support in the campaign against terrorism. (Albawaba.com)
