CO-OP ISLAMI, the region’s top Halal producer and retailer, announced today the completion of its AED 15 million new headquarter at Dubai Investment Park next to Jabel Ali Industrial Area.
Saleh Abdulla Lootah, Chief Executive Officer - CO-OP ISLAMI, said: “ The building, which accommodates more than 250 employees, will contribute to cut down transportation cost and enhance inventory storage levels through the cold stores and chillers built into the facility.”
Saleh Lootah added: “COOP ISLAMI’s activities in the UAE and regional markets will be supervised and followed up from the new office, which will be the company’s central base.”
“The project comes in line with the company’s strategic plans to develop operations and enhance its performance. CO-OP ISLAMI is seeing strong economic growth and both local and regional markets have witnessed an increase in purchase power along with an increase in demand for consumer goods. So there could not be a more opportune time for CO-OP ISLAMI to implement its expansion strategy.”

CO-OP ISLAMIC is poised to expand its reach through conducting a set of expansion initiatives that formulate CO-OP ISLAMI’s growth plan. The first few steps have been taken with raising the total storage capacity by 146 per cent to reach a total storage capacity of 690 tons, added to that, implementing the advanced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) programme developed by SAP to increase its regional and international operations.

Since it was initially launched, Dubai Cooperative Society was immersed in hard works to establish the principles of commercial dealings. Later on, 1981 came to mark a changing history of Dubai Cooperative Society established “CO-OP ISLAMI” for the purpose making real Halal food available for consumers through legal Islamic Supervision on all meat products imported from outside UAE.
