CommonTime is excited to announce support for the Android™ OS Motorola Droid™ and Google Nexus One with its latest release of the mSuite platform, mSuite 5.12.
As an innovative leader in mobility, CommonTime’s mSuite platform has been optimized for the Motorola Droid and Google Nexus One to provide seamless access to Lotus Notes email and collaboration tools via the ActiveSync Protocol.
The Motorola Droid has been a major part of the Android success story and is still one of the most talked about devices. In fact, Time magazine named the Motorola Droid as its No.1 gadget of 2009, ahead of the Apple iPhone which managed forth. Time claimed Droid to be "Android's first credible challenge to the iPhone", with faster controls, a phenomenally sharp and vivid touch screen and the advantage of a physical keyboard.
The recently released Google Nexus One runs the latest version of Android with a Qualcomm Snapdragon prossesor, making it one of the fastest smartphones available. Along with its sleek design, this makes the Google Nexus One a real contender in the current smartphone market.
mSuite 5.12 is available immediately through certified value-added resellers, ISV partners, and directly through CommonTime. mSuite also supports many other Android devices, such as the HTC Hero, Droid Eris, Acer Liquid and Motorola Cliq. Support for the T-Mobile G2 Touch and other new Android devices is coming soon.
"We are extremely pleased to offer support for the Motorola Droid and Google Nexus One, and continue to receive high demand for Android devices," said Joe Watterson, VP of Sales Operations for CommonTime. "The Android platform adds to the long list of operating systems CommonTime supports, including: webOS, iPhone OS, Windows Mobile and Symbian. Android is exciting for us as an enterprise mobile solutions company and Lotus Notes email and messaging is just the first phase of our plans on this ground breaking platform."
