Under the patronage and attendance of HE Dr Hadif Bin Jauan Al Dhaheri, UAE Minister of Justice, the Ministry of Justice, Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Dubai International Arbitration Center are organizing a conference on Alternate Dispute Resolution entitled, “Effectiveness of Alternate Dispute Resolution under the Court’s System”.
The Conference that is being held at the Monarch Hotel in Dubai on June 11th will be inaugurated by HE Dr Hadif Bin Jauan Al Dhaheri and HE Eng Hamad Buamim, Director General, Dubai Chamber, and will be followed up by panel discussions by experts in the field. The main aim of the Conference is to raise awareness on Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) systems among the legal and judicial community and to build a proactive ADR culture in the region.
Other objectives of the Conference are to discuss and share the experience of handling ADR with all stakeholders and to view the application of ADR systems in various countries regionally and internationally and their application in the UAE’s judicial system. The Conference will also highlight the benefits of the application of the various ADR techniques to the participants.
The Conference is divided into four sessions where eight working papers will be presented. The discussion sessions being attended by members of the judicial system, lawyers and legal advisers, experts and arbitrators, will examine the need for training and raising the judges’ competency in dealing with alternative dispute resolutions in the country.
