Luxury lifestyle provider DAMAC Properties Dubai is now nearing completion of The Crescent, its first project to be completed at the International Media and Production Zone in Dubai.
The Crescent is a three tower development located near the Emirates Road and customers have now commenced the final inspections of their apartments with occupancy due in December.
The completion of The Crescent follows hot on the heels of DAMAC Properties finishing its Lake View project – the company’s second tower to be completed in Jumeirah Lake Towers. Customers are also expected to move into this building next month.
Combining the convenience of the Emirates Road with a setting of lush and green landscaping, The Crescent comprises studio, one and two bedroom apartments and is entirely sold out. Thanks to an innovative floor plan all apartments have views of the surrounding picturesque landscape and residents will be able to enjoy this quiet cocoon in the middle of Dubai.
Landscaping of the gardens has been a highlight of the project with different plants and features being used to create a green haven in the centre of the development. Palms and ornamental trees give a distinctly tropical feel while ground cover plants and rocks have been used to create interest and colour for residents.
Customers are now undertaking final inspections of their apartments with around ten per cent already completed. These have been co-ordinated by the DAMAC Properties’ Customer Relations Management team.
CEO of Damac Properties Peter Riddoch said:‘ We are delighted to see The Crescent entering this final stage and feel sure the residents will be as pleased as we are to see their apartments are nearly ready.
‘This is a significant step for DAMAC Properties - marking the first of our projects to be completed at IMPZ and also contributing to the double achievement of two of our properties being finished within weeks of each other.
‘We are looking forward to seeing the first residents move in and intend to continue this focus on delivery at the third of our properties – Terra Del Sol – which is also due for completion at Discovery Gardens by the end of this year.’
2008 has been the ‘Year of Construction’ at DAMAC Properties, during which its businesses have aggressively focused on construction and contract delivery to trusted and quality contractors. An impressive AED2.5billion worth of contracts have been awarded in the first nine months of 2008. From initial consultants through to enabling and main contractors, the company has awarded more than 60 contracts in the first nine months of the year – showing that it means business when it comes to delivery.
In line with this, the company is making good progress at all its major developments and will hand over more units before the end of the year. In addition to the 571 completed units at Lake Terrace and 536 about to be completed at Lake View, the company has also completed 192 units at its Executive Heights building at TECOM. Approximately 7,100 units are planned for handover in 2009/10 across the region.
Mr Riddoch added: ‘It is satisfying for everyone involved when a project is completed – but especially for our customers who are eagerly awaiting the keys to their new property.
‘The Crescent is a fine example of combining the most stylish and modern apartments in an eco-sensitive setting and we wish all those customers moving in a happy home for the future.’
