CyberGuard® Corporation, a global provider of security solutions that protect the business-critical information assets of Global 2000 enterprises and government organizations, has announced that it has achieved Common Criteria EAL 4+ Certification, the highest mutually recognised certification level of its class, from the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) for its Total Stream Protection (TSP) network security appliances.
The certification conforms CyberGuard to U.S. Government standards such as the Traffic-Filter Firewall Protection Profile for Low-Risk Environments and the U.S. Department of Defense Application-level Firewall Protection Profile for Basic Robustness Environments.
“EAL4+ certification confirms CyberGuard's global leadership position in network security technology,” said Bashar Bashaireh, Regional Manager, Middle East & North Africa, CyberGuard. “The third-party, independent endorsement of CyberGuard's products validates that our appliances and the software technology incorporated in them provide the highest level of security. A growing number of customers, particularly those in the region’s government related industries, are becoming concerned about the dependability of their security solutions and this independent evaluation will help them make their strategic purchasing decisions.”
CyberGuard’s Total Stream Protection (TSP) “blended protection architecture” combines Firewalls, VPN, Content Security and Application Level Gateways that can be centrally managed with ease through CyberGuard Global Command Centre (GCC). With up to 7Gbps throughput CyberGuard TSPTM family of Firewall/VPN appliances are designed to protect the information assets of mid-sized to large enterprises where uncompromised security in a high performance package and maximum port density for the most demanding network environments are needed.
“The EAL 4+ certification is a big achievement, and will further strengthen our expansion plans in the region. We are determined to increase our reach by forming new partnerships and furthering existing ones,” Bashar concluded.
