The Executive Agency of the Child’s Friendly City at the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) recently received the last amount of Lego games parcels from the Danish Embassy in Amman. The parcels are part of the Embassy’s plans to support the children-related activities in Jordan.

The games were presented in a special ceremony held at Prince Hashem Park in Swaileh region, north of Amman, and attended by the Mayor’s Advisor of the restructuring and institutional performance development project, Eng. Ismael Al-Usta, and Executive Director of Social Services at the Municipality, Ms. Taghreed Fakhouri.

The ceremony included artistic and musical activities as well as poetry recitals, all performed by the children.

The Danish Ambassador to Jordan, Thomas Fouad Lund-Sørensen praised GAM’s distinguished role in caretaking children, and making Amman a convenient and peaceful place for them.

GAM’s Deputy City Director, Eng. Fawzi Mas’ad thanked the Danish Embassy for its kind contribution and support to the Municipality’s efforts, aimed for its centers, institutions and programs that directly deal with children affairs.

It is worth mentioning that the Danish Embassy in Amman has already donated the Lego games parcels to 15 locations around Amman, including public libraries, parks, and cultural centers, all run by GAM. The games target children of age groups, ranging from one year to 12-year-olds.
