Danube launches US-made ‘Chemetal’ laminates at 'Dubai International Wood & Wood Machinery Show 2009’

Leading building materials company targets contractors, consultants and architects at the show

Danube Building Materials, the leader in construction, building materials and shop fitting industries, has announced the regional launch of US-made ‘Chemetal’ metal laminates and its appointment as the exclusive distributor of the market leading brand in the GCC at the 'Dubai International Wood & Wood Machinery Show 2009’, which opened today (April 21, 2009) at the Central & East Hall of the Dubai Airport Expo. Europe-made wall papers, ‘KINGSA’ fibre cement boards, and German-technology manufactured ‘BRUSERSTANG’ parquet floorings, are also among Danube’s new launches at the event. Company officials revealed that the move to unveil the new products within the show is aimed at leveraging the large attendance of contractors, consultants, architects, specifiers and end-users from across the globe.

In addition to launching new products, Danube is also showcasing other items at the event, including ‘KINGSA’ fire retardant door core, and veneers from Europe. Motivated by the success of its participation at the show in the past two years, Danube also seeks to maximise the event to acquire new business with GCC-based customers, who are expected to comprise a majority of visitors at the event.

“The pull of 'Dubai International Wood & Wood Machinery Show’ among local as well as global trade and industry visitors underlines the importance of establishing a prominent presence in this show, which for us has repeatedly resulted in excellent opportunities for expansion in the region,” said Rizwan Sajan, Chairman, Danube Building Materials. “The experience we gather from our participation in this event has always been a great motivation for us to take our business to further heights, and we are very much looking forward to what this year’s exhibition has in store for us.”

The company’s participation in 'Dubai International Wood & Wood Machinery Show 2009’ is in line with its regional expansion plans, which involved the recent opening of the first ever ‘BUILDMART’, a state-of-the-art retail complex in Ras Al Khaimah and subsequently another branch in Bahrain. The multimillion retail complexes feature products that are installed in an actual home set-up, thereby allowing for greater convenience and a customer-friendly shopping experience. The stores are each divided into twenty-four different sections, and offer customers a wide range of building materials and design options as well as expert advice from highly-trained professionals on the best products, design materials and other design-related inquiries through the ‘Design Centre’.

”Our consistent participation in 'Dubai International Wood & Wood Machinery Show’ has contributed to the success of our operations both in the UAE and the region by serving as an effective launch pad for all our recently unveiled products. With many projects in the region currently at the completion stage, we are optimistic to meet contractors and consultants who are looking to see new technology products to use in their projects during the show,” concluded Sajan.
