dhl hosts students from nadeen international school on educational visit


DHL, the Kingdom’s leading express and logistics provider, recently hosted Al Nadeen International School students. Under the theme ‘People that Help Us’, the school has been exploring different professions. The visit to DHL’s Regional Distribution Centre in Muharraq was to help the children better understand the work behind the scenes of getting packages from A to B worldwide quickly and reliably.

Commenting on the visit, Nour Suliman, General Manager for DHL Bahrain said:”Being socially committed to support education in the Kingdom, we at DHL always welcome opportunities to assist our children reach maximum potential and contribute to the welfare of our community in the future.”

Over three consecutive days, a total of 45 children, aged 5-6 years visited the DHL hub in class groups. They were welcomed by the DHL team and learned how to send a package across the world - making pictures, setting up boxes and filling in addresses. Ajith Pethiyagoda, Express Logistics Centre Manager and Hussain Frutan, Administrator of Services at DHL Hub Support took the students on a tour to see the sorting and loading/unloading of the parcels in action to and from DHL aircrafts and trucks. They were also joined by other staff from DHL as well as teachers and parents.
