New, dedicated Government Service Contact Centre is operational; key step in Abu Dhabi Government multi-channel service optimization program
Under the patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the new Contact Centre for Abu Dhabi Government was inaugurated today with His Highness Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court making the first call during a launch event held at the Emirates Palace Hotel.
The Contact Centre is a direct channel to government services for citizens, residents, tourists and businesses. Services include information on government contacts and services, status and support on select applications underway as well as handling of suggestions and complaints.
The Contact Centre is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via the toll-free number 800 555, is complementary to the live Government Internet Portal (www.abudhabi.ae), is yet another key component of Abu Dhabi Government Services Optimization Program across all 27 Government Entities and is a pivotal move towards the establishment of a broader customer-centric services approach by the Abu Dhabi Government.
Contact Centre agents will use the latest technologies to answer most questions right away or follow up with the respective entities regarding the various inquires, suggestions or complaints submitted within a maximum of two working days. All findings and base information will be updated on a daily basis to enhance the responsiveness, insight and performance in addressing all points raised to the Contact Centre.
The Contact Centre is being coordinated and supervised by the Abu Dhabi Systems & Information Committee (ADSIC), who is also responsible for and spearheading the Emirate’s e-Government Program and as such is custodian of Abu Dhabi Government Services Optimization Program.
In his opening speech at the launch event, HH Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, said: “The launch of the Abu Dhabi Contact Centre is a fulfillment of the vision of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and will help in further enhancing our government services offering. This will translate to the effective realization of other emirate goals such as achieving economic growth, improving infrastructure and providing a secure environment, all in support of a society in which health, education, social and other sector services are elevated to world class levels thereby increasing the competitive advantage of the emirate of Abu Dhabi.”
HE Rashed Al Mansoori, ADSIC Chairman, highlighted in his speech that “the Contact Centre epitomizes the teamwork across all Abu Dhabi Government Entities and will provide a central access point to all our customers. The 24X7 Contact Centre will provide a vast array of services, ranging from extending information about the location and working hours of our various departments to details about documentation requirements, government procedures, applicable laws, visa regulations etc.”
Going forward, the Government will continue to evaluate usage and service levels of the Contact Centre on an ongoing basis to further improve its services, support in improving Government services in general, and help maximize value-added customer-centricity.
