DM TV signs agreement to be media partner of Abu Dhabi Campaign for Social Networking 2009

Decision Makers TV (DM TV) has announced that it will cover the activities of Abu Dhabi Campaign for Social Networking 2009 after signing an agreement to be the media partner of this event, which will be held from March 10 to 18, 2009. The partnership with the Abu Dhabi Campaign for Social Networking has been part of DM TV's strategy to actively support various social events that help in the development of the society. The activity has also received support from H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Minister of Interior, who has allocated for the event a total of AED 100,000 from the revenues of an auction of vanity plate numbers.

The Abu Dhabi Campaign for Social Networking, held with the theme “Build a family…..build a nation” is organised by the “Networking Centre for Training and Family Consultancies” in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Police Management of Social Support Centres. A press launch for the event is being held at Emirates Palace today (March 4, 2009), while a Familial Guideship Conference will kick off the weeklong activities on March 10, 2009 from 9 am to 3 pm at the Headquarters of the Family Conjunction, UAE University, Al-Ain.

Samar Sayegh, CEO, Decision Makers TV, said: “We want to contribute positively to our society and aim to be a pioneer in our industry in terms of helping people deal with social and family-related issues. We provide support to campaigns that help in solving social problems and building stable communities, especially in light of the growing number of people and households being affected by such problems in many Arab societies.”

Other activities of the Campaign for Social Networking are family exhibitions as well as lectures and workshops on March 10 to 12, while a “party march” (family carnival) will be held on March 11 at the Abu Dhabi Corniche. There will also be free marital consultations and entertainment and social shows related to the campaign at the Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi from March 12 to 15, at Al-Jimi Mall in Al-Ain from March 12 to 13, at Al-Ain Centre on March 14 and at Al-Ain City and Dubai Festival City.

A cultural and religious festival will be held on March 15 at the National Theatre in Abu Dhabi, while there will be a mass wedding on March 16. The Campaign for Social Networking will conclude with a festival on March 18 at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The increasing rate of divorce and growing number of marital conflicts have been among the reasons many social organisations have helped organise the Campaign for Social Networking, which aims to address these problems and promote better family relations and a more harmonious society.

The Campaign for Social Networking will also be participated by well-known specialists including Issa Al-Maskari, a family consultant; Dr. Mohammed Memon, analytical Psyche Specialist; Fatima Al-Rashdi, a family consultant; and Mohammed al-Hammadi, specialist consultant in family training.

Fatima Al-Rashdi, Manager of the Campaign for Social Networking said: “Family stability is an important factor in achieving progress in the society. Any disturbance within the family could result in bad social behaviour by the family member, which will certainly have an impact in the entire society. Our ultimate goal is to address these issues and we are confident that this campaign will achieve its objectives through the cooperation of all concerned parties.”
