Dubai Quality Group (DQG) today signed a strategic partnership agreement with the RAK Chamber of commerce and industry to become a strategic investor partner in the group. The partnership comes in line with the group’s strategic vision to disseminate a culture of quality and organizational excellence among the business community across the country.
Osama Al Rahma, vice chairman of DQG signed the agreement along with Dr. Abdulrahman Al Naqbi, director general of RAK Chamber at DQG's headquarter in the presence of senior officials from parties.
Al Rahma appreciated the efforts of the chamber for the implementation of quality standards and mechanisms of organizational excellence.
Al Rahma said: "This agreement reflects our commitment to the business community in UAE, and we will spare no effort in supporting the chamber by all means to enable it to make a quantum leap in the level of services provided to its audience".
"The agreement has a vital importance, since the chamber serves a wide range of diversified audience, besides playing a pivotal role in the implementation of economic activities in Ras Al Khaimah, so we will work together to promote this partnership through mutual cooperation, consultancy, seminars, workshops and training courses which would defiantly strengthen the capacities of the chamber’s employees". added Al Rahma.
For his part, Dr. Al Naqbi said: "We look forward achieving excellence and quality in all services offered to our audience through innovative mechanisms in order to save their time. In this sense, we signed this agreement today to be part of the process of organizational development and to support DQG which spared no effort in spreading the quality culture among the local business community".
He added: "We have built a strong and dynamic economy in RAK, especially as the local economy of the emirate recorded a growth of 19% last year which brought up the total GDP of the emirate in 2008 to 16 billion Dirhams. On the other hand, this agreement will be the first step in the direction of our strategic plan to modernize and support the local economy through the implementation of the highest standards of quality and excellence in the functional and service performance".
RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry was incepted to serve as a link between the public and private sectors.
