Drake & Scull International (DSI), the leading mechanical and electrical engineering contracting company in the region, has signed a KD (Kuwaiti Dinar) 2.35 million contract with Kuwait’s State Audit Bureau (SAB), to revamp its building technology infrastructure. Drake & Scull is the main contractor for the project, where the company will implement a multi-service network using the most advanced solutions for overall project management and system integration.
The agreement with SAB comes close on the heels of a KD 8.9 million contract signed by DSI with Kuwait’s Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) to carry out electromechanical works at the Special Training Centre being built on the Shuwaikh campus of PAAET’s College of Technological Studies.
“This is yet another significant gain for us. Drake & Scull is now extending the expertise and thorough market knowledge it has acquired over four decades of operations in the UAE, to Kuwait in a big way, where the company has bagged several prestigious projects,” said Khaldoun Al Tabari, Executive Director of DSI.

All works at SAB will be carried out in adherence to international quality norms and the project will be completed and handed over to SAB within the stipulated timeframe,” he added.

These include the Intelligent Notification and Integration System that DSI will deploy via GPS/GPRS using telematics technology in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior (MOI), the Kuwait Fire Brigade (KFB) and the Ambulance Service. Other solutions that DSI will implement include building management system, building utility service network, IP telephony, surveillance CCTV system, access control system, assets and documents management system, parking control system and public address system.
