Dubai to Advertise its Shopping Festival

The organizing committee for Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) will launch local and international TV channels to attract visitors to attend the one-month event to kick off on 1 March 2002.  

They discussed the TV campaign and also finalized the calendar of events at a meeting chaired by Hussain Ali Lootah, chief executive of the DSF and attended by Ibrahim Saleh, deputy CEO, and heads of various committees in charge of different DSF projects, the Khaleej Times reported. 

Saeed Al Naboodah, marketing coordinator DSF presented the TV commercial that translates the theme of the fest - one world one family - to the committee members, said the Dubai-based paper. 

The commercial portrays a montage of images underlining both the traditional and the modern face of the UAE, which hosts 122 nationalities. 

Al Naboodah was quoted by the daily as saying that “The commercial is a lavish production involving filmmakers from different parts of the world” -- Albawaba.com
