Dubai Airport Freezone wins assessed contributions award for the development of educational institutions

Dubai Airport Freezone won an award from the Higher Colleges of Technology for Women in Dubai for its contribution to the support of educational institutions and the development of national cadres.
Mr. Ibrahim Hassan, director of human resources, Dubai Airport Freezone said that it is necessary to look at the basic educational institutions as a basic resource and a key partner in the development and support of trade and economic activities. “These educational institutions work on the rehabilitation of skillful technical personnel that provide our establishments with the best human resources.”
Mr. Hassan added that the Dubai Airport Freezone has always contributed to the various and diverse activities of these educational institutions with their various specializations due to the importance of these institutions and the need to contribute to the promotion of their activities,
“Our participation with the Faculty of Technology of the Higher Colleges started more than four years ago. We receive a number of trainee students during summer vacation for them to learn while working in different departments and we receive students of the final year for a longer period of training prior to graduation in addition to letting them to participate in exhibitions and festivals.”
“Dubai Airport Freezone had also accepted summer trainees from other educational institutions to expand our relationship network with these institutions.”
He stressed the importance of the active role economic institutions play, noting that this comes under the programs of performing institutional responsibilities to the community, adopted by many companies and government departments.
"At Dubai Airport Freezone, we apply these programs with the Strategy Department. We have supported a number of our children with special needs at the Rashid Center. We also held a photo exhibition for this group and participated with other institutions in the Dubai Giving project as well as other programs adopted by the country for the benefit of various youth segments.
Mr. Hassan expressed his thanks to the administration of the Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai for their continuous activity.
"The Dubai Airport Freezone is looking forward to accept more participants in this scheme in the future, as it opens doors to college students to take advantage of various training opportunities available at the Freezone, and others", he concluded.
