The Race & Driving School at the Dubai Autodrome, the first of its kind in the Middle East, attracted the first Emirati Female participant to its stage 1 race & drive school experience. Four sessions were held with 72 drivers, Stage 1 offers a variety of driving sensations behind the wheel of performance cars.

“I have followed motorsports as a child, but this is my first experience on a race circuit. I am so proud we have such a wonderful track in my country and I intend on making full use of its facilities. Stage 1 is a basic introduction to driving on a circuit, and I learnt about cornering technique and taking the ideal racing line. I was nervous at the beginning but my instructor made me feel very comfortable. I managed to improve my technique during my 10 laps”, said Nahla.

“We are pleased to witness Nahla’s improvement over the stage 1 experience and I am hoping her achievement in completing the course will encourage more Emirati female participants to go through this thrilling driving experience”, said Joe Chedid – from Dubai Autodrome.

“I was pleasantly surprised by the informative and beneficial instruction. The Autodrome personnel were professional and friendly, and the whole experience was very well organized. I am already looking forward to improving my driving skills further and willing to learn step by step to become a racing driver by attending all the race school courses,” added Nahla.

The race school is the perfect place to hone skills and develop better driving abilities to handle the most difficult road situations. The programs combine classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction and are designed to give in-depth exposure to the latest in racing techniques.

The race and driving school features a range of performance cars including the Audi A3, A4, S4 and the Subaru Impreza WRX STi with 200 bhp to 350 bhp under the hood. All vehicles are equipped with Bridgestone tyres to cope with cornering and handling performance of the vehicle.

The school is also the perfect place for any corporate event. Ideal for small, medium or large groups (10 -100 people), the school can develop tailored corporate motorsports programs to meet specific needs.
