Dubai Export Development Corporation initiates a collaborative relationship with Dubai Airport Free Zone
Dubai Export Development Corporation (EDC) has undertaken a collaborative partnership with Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZA) that aims to promote the industrial and trade development of Dubai through diverse trade promotional and developmental initiatives.
This relationship between the two parties will allow EDC to provide their services directly to the Free Zone business clients, thereby assist Dubai-based businesses to enter and expand operations in international markets. EDC will also benefit from the feedback and analyses of Dubai Airport Free Zone members’ businesses, allowing the facilitation of sub-contractor partnerships.
“Being strategically placed within the boundaries of Dubai International Airport, the Free Zone’s customers are excited at the idea of enhancing export efficiencies through this collaborative effort. This Memorandum reaffirms the commitment of both EDC and the Free Zone to the economic development of Dubai,” said Engineer Saed Al Awadi, Chief Executive Officer, Dubai Export Development Corporation.
“The Dubai Airport Free Zone customers will obtain priority of access to EDC’s export information, market intelligence, export assistance and training based on their unique business requirements,” he added.
This new collaboration between the two organisations supports the campaign being implemented by EDC to promote ‘Made in Dubai’ as a stamp of quality recognised across the world. The ability to exchange information more freely will also assist in working to further simplify export procedures for Dubai based businesses.
