Lamcy Plaza was the latest hotspot to host Dubai Shopping Malls Group's exciting raffle draws for DSS. Two Indian expatriates- Naveen Sivakumar and Mohammed Iqbal- are this week's winners of a BMW 3 Series each. As part of its special campaign for DSS, Dubai Shopping Malls Group is giving away two BMW 3 Series sedans every week.
Eight more sedans will be given away during the next four weeks of DSS.To participate in the raffle draws, customers need to spend up to spend AED 200 at any of the 21 malls taking part in DSS.
Mohammed Iqbal, a resident of Dubai for four years, did not believe the news when informed of his win. "I didn't initially believe it; I thought someone was playing a prank on me. I couldn't even remember whether I shopped last week. I have lived here for four years and this is the best surprise I have ever had. Dubai is the best place to shop, not only for the bargains but also the amazing opportunities like DSS to win fabulous prizes."
Iqbal used his MasterCard for shopping which doubled his chances of winning at the raffle draw as all shoppers using MasterCard get an additional raffle coupon.
Naveen Sivakumar, an Engineer who works in Dubai, was on holiday when informed of his win. He said: "I have lived in Dubai for nine years and have taken part in many raffle draws but this is the first time I have won. I can't wait to tell my family, we are going to celebrate!"
Commenting on hosting the DSS weekly raffle draw at Lamcy Plaza, Mr. Mathew Thomas, Marketing Manager, Lamcy Plaza, said: "It was a privilege to host the 3rd week DSS 2010 raffle at Lamcy Plaza. We are excited that the DSS Organizing Committee selected our mall as the venue for the event. The raffle event is an added attraction for our shoppers, who are making the best out of our mall-wide sales while enjoying the varied line-up of fun-filled entertainment events at the mall throughout summer."
Next week's raffle draw will be held at Mercato Mall on Thursday at 6.00 pm
The member malls of DSMG participating in DSS 2010 include: Al Bustan Centre, Al Ghurair City, Al Manal Centre, Al Mulla Plaza, Arabian Center, Burjuman, Century Mall, Dubai Marina Mall, Dubai Marina Walk, Dubai Outlet Mall, Gold & Diamond Park, Hamarain Centre, Lamcy Plaza, Mazaya Centre, Mercato Mall, Oasis Center, Palm Strip, Reef Mall, Souk Al Bahar, The Dubai Mall and Town Centre.
Participating malls have organised a number of shopping and entertainment activities for families and children, such as Kids Fashion Week, international cartoon show 'Stories of SpongeBob', Middle East Junior Chef of the Year and Modhesh World.
