Al Sharif said: “The Middle East broadcasting industry is now looking at new technologies to drive towards a fully-integrated digital broadcasting platform. The move for enhanced digital broadcasting standards will eventually bring down operational costs and make services more competitive by offering an improved consumer experience.

“We are delighted to participate in this year’s event and highlight eight of our business partners. We believe the event will prove beneficial to them and the industry in general.”

CABSAT MENA is expected to attract hundreds of exhibitors and trade visitors from the US, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Held concurrently is the Satellite MENA Exhibition that aims to be the industry networking platform to explore business opportunities, formulate strategies and create partnerships for video, voice, data and IP communications over satellite.

The CABSAT MENA 2010 Broadcasting Conference will address key issues including ways to provide higher value in the market and meet the growing needs of the audience, both from within the MENA and other parts of the world. The conference will provide a platform for broadcasters and allied industry players to share experiences on HD services.
