Tejari, the leading B2B online marketplace in the emerging markets, has awarded today Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) with "Tejar's eLeader Award for the year 2009" for their constant support and rewarding partnership. The award took place in the Dubai World Trade Centre in the presence of Mr. Helal Saeed Almarri- CEO, Dubai World Trade Centre and Mr. Suhail Al Banna, CEO of Tejari.
DWTC was presented this prestigious award in recognition of its outstanding performance as a buyer through Tejari, with one of the highest number of online procurement transactions for private sector companies registered with Tejari for the year 2009.
In his address to those gathered for the ceremony, Mr. Suhail Al Banna extended his thanks and acknowledgement to the management of DWTC and its procurement staff. He also recognized DWTC's ongoing efforts and continuous support for Tejari since its inception in 2000 and thanked DWTC for sharing Tejari's vision towards realizing the future of commerce.
During the award ceremony Mr. Al Banna CEO Tejari presented Mr. Helal Saeed Almarri CEO, DWTC with the trophy, and awarded the procurement team including Mr. Ahmed Khaja, VP Procurement and Contracts; Mr. Nick Mariott, Director, procurement and contracts; Mr. Tim Bailey, Senior Contracts Manager; Miss Farah Humaid Al Fardh, Assistant Manager- vendor relations , and Miss Ayesha Al Hashimi , Procurement Officer with certificates of appreciation.
