ALBAWABA - A 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck Balıkesir's Sındırgı district in Turkey at 22:48, Anadolu Agency reported.
The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) website reported that a 6.1 magnitude tremor was recorded, stating that the epicentre of the quake was located in the Sındırgı district.
People in Balıkesir, İzmir, Bursa, İstanbul, Tekirdağ, Kocaeli and Sakarya also felt the earthquake.
Minister of Interior of Türkiye, Ali Yerlikaya, said, "There was no debris, no loss of life, no injuries. The only information we received from the health department is that there were two applications. Those were panic-related falls, that is, injuries caused by jumping."
