Egyptian Interim President Adly Mansour issued Sunday a law regulating protests submitted to his review by the cabinet nearly two weeks ago, state TV reported.

The controversial 'protest law' has drawn a chorus of condemnations by rights groups who say it fails to protect freedoms of assembly and promotes heavy-handed state intervention.
