ALBAWABA - An Egyptian police officer has used his personal firearm to fire at and kill at least two Israeli tourists in the city of Alexandria.
The officer, a police secretary in charge of tourist security, allegedly discharged his personal pistol at the gathering in Alexandria's Mansheya neighborhood. Egyptian security forces have initiated an investigation into the incident. Security commanders stated that the officer has been arrested.
Following the incident, the Israeli government announced the closing of all crossings between the Israeli and the Egyptian side.
