Egypt's Ahli basketball team qualified Tuesday to the semi-finals of the Arab Basketball Championship, snatching the third win in a row as it defeated Saudi Ansar in Dubai during the quarterfinals.
The first leg of the game came on an equal level; both sides exchanged attacks switching the leading position a couple of times. This kept the opponents quite close in score. The first half ended with a neck-to-neck 44/43 score, in favor of the Egyptians.
When it was 5 minutes to go, both teams threw their tolls to snatch the win. This heated up the court and spectators who watched the vital match restlessly.
In the last breath, Ahli players pressed forward on Saudis and succeeded in hiking up their leading score to 92/75.
Earlier Tuesday, Lebanese Hikmah got the second qualifying card of the same group after a tough battle against UAE's Wihdah, ended for 70/65 -- (Several Sources)
