Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS), today presented the latest generation of games in the Middle East for advanced entertainment systems such as the PlayStation® 2, PSP®, Xbox® and Xbox 360™.
The event, held in Dubai today, attracted key members from the trade and media, all keen to get a first hand preview of the latest games from EA. According to Craig Auld, Electronic Arts’ Marketing Manager for the Middle East, “this event has become an annual event strongly anticipated by the trade as it provides them a preview of the festive line-up of games prior to release. We will launch all of our top festive season games in Dubai which include Need for Speed™ Carbon, FIFA 07, Medal of Honor Heroes™, Tiger Woods PGA Tour® 07 and Battlefield 2142™.

The day kicked off with one of EA’s most popular titles FIFA 07. From the first whistle, FIFA 07 throws you into the rollercoaster ride of the football season as fans of the franchise live out the intense stadium atmosphere of every home and away match. FIFA 07 delivers complete authenticity with licenses for all the world’s top leagues, including MLS and Mexican 1st Division in North America, and 26 others from over 20 nations. This year, gamers have the power to shape their club’s destiny in the EA SPORTS™ Interactive Leagues, a new online mode that enables gamers to pit your club against supporters of your real-world opponents.
Next up was Need for Speed™ Carbon, which delivers the next generation of adrenaline-filled street racing and will challenge players to face the ultimate test of driving skill on treacherous canyon roads. What starts in the city is settled in the canyons as Need for Speed Carbon immerses gamers into the world’s most dangerous and adrenaline-filled form of street racing. Need for Speed Carbon comes with over 25 licensed real world cars. Every car in the game is tunable so gamers can customize its’ look and performance to suit the particular style that they choose for their crew.
Medal of Honor Heroes™, available exclusively for the PSP® (PlayStation® Portable) system, will give gamers the chance to take all the epic, authentic World War II (WWII) action of Medal of Honor™ on-the-go. While building on the key tenets of the franchise including historical accuracy and authenticity, Medal of Honor Heroes is the newest addition to the critically-acclaimed Medal of Honor™ franchise which was credited with pioneering the First-Person Shooter (FPS) WWII genre when it debuted for in 1999. This marks the exciting debut for a Medal of Honor game on the PSP system.
Command & Conquer™, the groundbreaking series that put the Real-time Strategy (RTS) genre on the map, is returning in full force with Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars™. This highly-anticipated next chapter takes the popular series back to its roots in the Tiberium universe and features the fast, fluid gameplay that Command & Conquer is known for and a gripping story that will redefine storytelling in RTS games.
Earn respect and climb the ranks with Team Play in Tiger Woods PGA TOUR® 07. The top-selling golf video game franchise is packed with new content, including 21 new courses and 50 golfers.
