EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC), the world leader in information infrastructure solutions, today announced that EMC received a “Strong Positive” rating in Gartner’s report entitled “MarketScope for Storage Services, North America, 2009.”1  EMC was one of 11 vendors evaluated in the report, and received the highest possible rating, “Strong Positive.”

“EMC Global Services’ broad portfolio of end-to-end services and solutions enable customers to maximize the value of their technology and infrastructure investments, reduce risk, and reap the benefits of initiatives such as virtualization and the transformation to private cloud, which is especially critical with today’s budget pressures,” said Wael El Nadi, Technology Solutions Manager – EMC Turkey, Middle East & Africa. “We believe Gartner’s ‘Strong Positive’ rating is validation of EMC’s continued innovation and leadership in delivering outstanding services and solutions, and exemplary total customer experience.  Customers tell us our services capabilities are a key contributor to the overall value of partnering with EMC and it is gratifying to see this industry recognition.”

The following services comprised Gartner’s core storage services segmentation and served as a baseline for Gartner’s market sizing and market share assessments:
