Emirates Gas provided a lecture on the safe use of LPG gas cylinders to more than 75 labourers at the Serve U labour camp in Al Quoz, Dubai. Representatives from the company demonstrated how to safely install, use and store the LPG cylinders at the camp.

Hesham Ali Mustafa, General Manager, Emirates Gas, said that the visit is part of a bigger campaign that aims to alert customers to the need for greater safety awareness when dealing with cylinders. “Emirates Gas regularly trains customers on the safe handling of LPG cylinders and labour camps are considered one of our biggest users. The lecture covered a list of safety guidelines for fixing, operating and maintaining LPG cylinders, and highlighted the warning signs to look out for during a gas leakage,” said Mustafa.

The company also put up posters on safety use of LPG cylinders in English, Hindi and Arabic in the camp and plans to conduct more awareness campaigns across labour camps in Dubai for the rest of the year.
