Emmanuel Macron names new Prime Minister

ALBAWABA - French President Emmanuel Macron announced naming Michel Barnier as the new Prime Minister.

In an official statement, the Macron announced tasking Barnier with "forming a unifying government in the service of the country,". He is the oldest the premier in the history of modern France.

The new PM comes two months after of political vacuum, following the win of leftists in the latest elections.
