Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) recently conducted a blood donation drive, in cooperation with Al Wasl Hospital in Dubai. Several ENOC employees and members from the public attended the campaign held at the ENCO Complex.

Held as part of activities to mark the World Thalassemia Day on May 8, 2009, the campaign aims to assist children suffering from Thalassemia, a rare and inherited disease whereby blood cells are vulnerable to mechanical injury and can prove to be fatal. Children affected with this disease need constant blood transfusions.

Khalid Hadi, ENOC Group Brand and Marketing Manager, said: “ENOC has always been at the forefront of organising such campaigns regularly. However, this time the campaign has a great significance at it was held to mark the World Thalassemia Day. We thank all the ENOC employees and membes of the public, who have come forward to assist Thalassemia patients.”
