Eros Group, the sole distributor of world-renowned brands Samsung, Hitachi, Candy & TCL, Linksys by Cisco, Thermobreak, Lennox and Taurus one of the leading players in consumer electronics, telecom, and allied multi-products in the Middle East won DQG’s prestigious ‘Idea of the Year Award’ for Service on Wheels – the group’s unique and innovative after-sales service wherein the customer service requirements for flat panels are attended to at their premises.
Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of the Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports Council and the honorary sponsor of Dubai Quality Group 'DQG', Ideas Arabia, a subgroup of the DQG, organized 'Ideas Arabia 5th International Conference' titled 'Innovation is your Decision', with the participation of local, regional and international bodies.
The award, chosen from the Idea of the Year competition, recognizes the most significant ideas implemented by companies in 2009. As per the award criteria, the selected idea should have provided significant benefits to the organization, customers and its stakeholders.

‘Service on Wheels’ is a specially designed 3.5 ton branded vehicle equipped with all the necessary instruments and electrical fittings that travels to the customers’ premises to attend to their complaints. The defective units (subject to level of defect) are repaired in the vehicle and given back to its owner within hours.
Eros Group was recently recognized with the celebrated Dubai Quality Appreciation Programme Award for its effort and work towards achieving excellence. The Group is seeking to establish a clear service-based benefit over competitors by extending innovative service solutions across the supply chain. This is further substantiated with the recent launch of ‘Delivery on Demand’ service for independent Retail Channel Partners, wherein Eros Group will be running vans with Samsung mobile stocks to cater to independent retail outlets throughout the UAE.
